We’re excited to welcome you to our brand-new blog! This space has been created to share ideas, insights, and updates about not only our research but also the wider world of rude research. We hope you’ll find useful, engaging, and worth returning to. Whether you’ve stumbled across us for the first time or you’re already familiar with what we do, this blog is here to capture everything that goes on within our research “lab”.
So, what can you expect? Posts will cover a mix of study details, latest results, editorials and reviews about the literature already out there, as well as some light-hearted commentaries on how swearing is reported in the media. Basically, some articles will be practical, they’ll bring you up to speed with everything we’re up to and give you an opportunity to get involved, others (we hope) will be helpful resources you can use to learn more about wider world of swearing and the academic research conducted into it, and some will just be a fun look at the wonderful world of swearing. We’re planning everything from quick reads to deeper explorations so we can offer something valuable to everyone.
The posts will mainly be written by Chris, but expect Phil and Rich to pop-up from time to time with their own thoughts or comments on things, too. Starting something new always feels like an adventure, and this blog is no different. We’re looking forward to the journey ahead and are glad you’re here at the very beginning. Thank you for taking the time to stop by. We hope you’ll stay, explore, and come back often and if you want to join the conversation drop us a message.
Welcome aboard!
